Wedding for Shannon and Shawn at Kirk United Church

A couple weekends ago, David and I were off to Shannon's parents' home to photograph her getting ready photos. It was an absolutely beautiful day. I was excited to see Shannon's dress as she had it made from parts of her mom's wedding dress and parts of her grandmother's wedding dress. How special is that?! She also wore her mother's veil. Her Grandmother, Fern, helped Shannon make all the flowers and she also made the wedding cake.

After getting some very special shots of Shannon in a 1952 Packard and some family shots, we headed over to Kirk United to meet with Shawn and his groomsmen to get some getting ready shots of them. It was a beautiful ceremony performed by Rev. Beth Hawley. Shannon's mom, Debbie and her sister, Alanna performed a beautiful solo during the ceremony.

Formal photos were done at Rutherford House and on the grounds of the University of Alberta. We were also able to grab some shots of the bride and groom as well as the flower girl, Amia and ring bearer, Zane in Shawn's Dad's 2007 Shelby Mustang convertible.

After the formals with a very fun wedding party, we headed over to the Chateau Louis Grande Ballroom for the reception. We love the Chateau Louis and their catering staff always does an amazing job! Music was provided by Rubberband Entertainment who did a great job of keeping all the phenomenal dancers on the dance floor. Did I mention that Shannon and Shawn and some of their guests were amazing ballroom dancers? What a delight to watch them! Shannon and her sister, Alanna did performed a song with their respective instruments. Yes, a very talented wedding party, indeed!
