On Saturday, David and I met with Shyla and Kyle at the University of Alberta in the Old Arts Building to photograph their engagement session. They are such a fantastic couple and you can just see how much in love they are by the way they look at each other. And, they have a fantastic sense of humour. I can see that Shyla and I will have to up our game for their wedding in June as David and Kyle managed to pick on us more than we picked on them. Normally the Old Arts building is pretty deserted when we do a session, however, on this day, it was bustling with activity. So, although David and I typically do all our sessions on the main floor and then outside the building, we checked out other parts of the building and found some new spots that we really like. It was drizzling a bit when we got to the session, but after taking some indoor shots, we decided to go outside and take some shots. Luckily, the rain had stopped and the sky were perfectly overcast to give us the nice soft lighting that photographers love. David and I had walked around a bit prior to the session looking for some new and different spots to do some photos, so we took Shyla and Kyle to a couple of those spots. One thing that David and I pride ourselves on is that we love making everyone's sessions unique to them. I like to come up with new poses before each session so that this session will not be the same as the last session we did. David and I think that is important. Every couple that we work with is different and one of the reasons that we do a complimentary engagement session with every wedding package is so that we can get to know our couples better, to find out what they like, what they don't like, how they interact both with each other and with us. That helps not only determine how our engagement session will be like but also how we are going to form our game plan for their wedding photos. We are really looking forward to Shyla and Kyle's wedding in June because we truly enjoyed our session with them. Thank you Shyla and Kyle for choosing us to capture these special moments in your life.
