This past Sunday morning, we headed out to Lion's Park in St. Albert to photograph Kathleen and Ricky's wedding. We started the morning with a really touching first look. The look of complete love and adoration on Ricky's face when Kathleen removed his blindfold was so beautiful. We then got to photograph Kathleen and Ricky for about half an hour before it was time for them to get to the St. Albert Legion for their ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony performed by Ricky's boss. After their ceremony, we photographed their family photos followed by a few more formal photos.
Because we were only with Kathleen and Ricky for part of their day, we also staged the first dance outside before heading back to the Legion to stage their cake cutting and reception entrance.
Kathleen and Ricky, you both looked amazing and. your wedding was very beautiful. David and I would like to thank you so much for allowing us the honour of capturing the special moments of your day.
On Sunday afternoon, David and I headed to one of our favourite locations to photograph at, Lois Hole Centennial Park near St. Albert to meet up with Cailin and Dylin. Cailin and Dylin drove into the city for their engagement session with us and I'm ecstatic that their wedding will be on the family farm. I just love a country wedding!
Cailin and Dylin are absolutely adorable together. When they look at each other, there is so much love. They were up for any and all poses we asked of them and they are both very photogenic. Cailin and I got to comparing how similar David and Dylin are with their favourite shirts. We had a great time with them during their engagement session and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding next month.
Thank you so much, Cailin and Dylin for choosing us to capture this time in your life!
This past Sunday, David and I were off to the area around the Muttart which also includes Accidental Beach to meet Lisa, Kevin and their beautiful bermadoodle, Bernie. Lisa drives this way every day and has been waiting for the trees to be in bloom and they definitely did not disappoint.
Lisa and Kevin area a great couple and we enjoyed our session with them. After taking a fall the week prior, I was not brave enough to tackle the "steps" down to Accidental Beach, but David did some fantastic photos of them there. I think the ones of them in their Avalanche and Oilers jerseys are great! I enjoyed the beautiful images we got with this awesome couple among the spring blossoms and the backdrop of downtown on the newer walking bridge.
Thank you so much, Lisa and Kevin for allowing us the honour of capturing this special time in your lives and we cannot wait for your fall wedding!
This past Sunday, David and I headed to Beaver County to photograph nine day old Noah. He is the second child to our clients who have become friends. Krista was in her best friend's wedding many years ago and decided right then and there that when she got married we would be her photographers. So, when she got engaged to Bryce, we did their engagement photos and their wedding photos. During this time, we also became friends. When she told us she was expecting their first child, Annalynne and asked us to do their newborn photos, we were so thrilled. And I was so excited when she told me she was expecting baby Noah.
Both Annalynne and Noah are so photogenic and I had so many favourites from this session that it was hard to decide on which ones to use for sneak peeks. I crocheted a rainbow elf hat especially for Krista's rainbow baby and also crocheted an elephant newborn outfit with the thought of debuting it at this session. Noah modelled both so beautifully.
Thank you so much Krista and Bryce for honouring David and I with capturing these important memories in your life and also for being wonderful friends that we cherish.
This past Saturday, we had Allison and Justin, their three year old, Jameson and eleven day old Oakley in the studio. It was great seeing Allison and Justin again. We also photographed Jameson's newborn photos. These two boys are amazing models. Jameson slept through his newborn photos. Although Oakley was awake for a lot of his, he wasn't in the least bit fussy. Allison laid Oakley down on our prop bed and I swear he was in the sweetest position ever - no posing required. Jameson was fantastic for his photos as well and the most patient three year old I have ever seen while waiting for his baby brother to be finished.
I absolutely love when we have return clients with second or third and sometimes even fourth babies because we get to watch and document, not only the growing of their family, but the growing up of their children. Honestly, it is a privilege that I will never take for granted.
Thank you so much, Allison and Justin for allowing us the honour of photographing your second child's newborn photos.
