This past Saturday, David and I headed to Lisa's parent's home to photograph Lisa and her bridesmaids getting ready. Lisa's mom and dad were so welcoming and kind to us from the time we arrived until we left the reception that night where both Lisa's mom and sister gave us hugs. Lisa's dress was beautiful and suited her perfectly - from The Bridal Boutique. When we arrived, Lisa's hair and makeup was just finishing up by Sheena Rae Beauty. Lisa and her bridesmaids made all the bouquets and other flowers and they were gorgeous. After photographing the getting ready shots, we headed to Whitemud Creek Community Centre which was absolutely beautiful to photograph their outdoor ceremony which was performed by Marry by Mary. Their amazing dog, Bernadette was the flower girl and she was absolutely perfect. Kevin's two nephews were completely adorable ring bearers. Kevin looked handsome in his custom EPH suit which had the logo for his favourite hockey team - Colorado Avalanche adorning the lining along with the date of their wedding. Lisa and Kevin also had a whisky box ceremony which they will open on their first anniversary and every anniversary after. The arches were handmade and were the perfect looking snowcap mountains and provided a great backdrop for both their ceremony and reception.
Blackgold Limo then whisked the bridal party off first to Government House park for some beautiful river valley photos and an absolutely amazing champaigne spray photo and then to Manchester Square for some more fun/architectural photos and then a stop at Arcadia Brewery for some refreshing ale and some fun photos. Oh and let me just tell you, Kevin and Lisa do the most amazing dipping shot! We then headed back to Whitemud Creek Community Centre where our newest Photo Booth attendant, Olivia, was busy at work. This girl was so good at her job and did a fantastic job all night. Thank you so much for being so awesome and working with and for us! The delicious meal was provided by A Capella. The cake for the bride and groom was done by Little Teapot Bake Shop and Lisa and Kevin's Day of Planner, Caroline from Your Stories kept their donut cake and candy bar full and everything running smoothly. Their DJ, Darcy Lotoski of Party Music kept the dance floor full. And Kevin's uncle, Daryl Pattison was a fantastic MC and also kept his promise on a bet between him and Kevin by wearing an Avalanche Jersey for most of the night.
Thank you so much Lisa and Kevin for allowing us the privilege of capturing your engagement and wedding photos and to your family for giving us such a warm welcome. We wish you and Kevin a lifetime of happiness.
