This past Saturday, David and I headed north for the two hour drive to Smith, Alberta to photograph Dawn and Tyler's wedding at the Community Complex which was beautifully decorated. Dawn and her bridesmaids came just in time for the ceremony with Dawn looking stunning in her dress from David's Bridal. Tyler and his groomsmen looked just as handsome in their dress shirts, jeans, vests and matching ties. Even their shoes were coordinated. The ladies all looked gorgeous with their hair and makeup done by Fatima. The flowers the ladies carried as well as the ones decorating the hall were done by Dawn - and they looked amazing! She did such a fantastic job! The bridesmaids came down the aisle and right before Dawn's entrance, the two "flower dudes" strutted down the aisle throwing petals. The ceremony was performed by Herb Gerhling and Dawn, Tyler and Dawn's two sons did a sand ceremony to signify the becoming one family. Immediately after the ceremony, the wedding party, immediate family and David and I drove the twenty minute drive to Dawn and Tyler's home. We were greeted there by the sweetest dog - Lola! She was definitely a gentle giant. Because Dawn absolutely loves her Jeep (much to the joy of myself and David) and Tyler loves his truck, we did photos with both vehicles. With all the formals done, we headed back to the community complex which was now completely set up for the reception. I adore small towns, everyone is so friendly and everyone pitches in to do whatever needs to be done. The meal was catered by Dawn and Tyler's family and was so delicious. Boomtown Sound played awesome music prior to supper and into the evening. I loved the cake which was made by Dawn's cousin and had white Jeeps and white Trucks adorning it. It perfectly suited Dawn and Tyler!
Thank you so much, Dawn and Tyler as well as your family and friends. We felt so welcomed and we were so honoured to capture your special day for you.
