Beautiful Intimate Wedding of Jonathan and Nelleke at Beach Corner Church

This past weekend, David and I headed out to Beach Corner Church to photograph the wedding of Jonathan and Nelleke. Due to covid restrictions it was a combination of a very small group of attendees and also live streamed to others. These two are such a sweet couple and so obviously in love it is absolutely adorable. Nelleke's dress was handmade and stunning and made by Alison Mosher, a friend of the family. Sarah Wiens did Nelleke's hair - this was her first time doing a bride's hair and she did a fantastic job. Her sister also did all Nelleke's sisters' hair (her bridesmaids and flower girl) and also did an amazing job! The bouquets were all beautiful and smelled so good and were done by Lakeside Florals. Jonathan looked dashing in his black suit from Hudson Bay. Jonathan and Nelleke were so fortunate to have Jonathan's father, Mike Stubbe officiate the ceremony.

After the ceremony where the bride and groom surprised everyone by running out of the church when Mike said, "you may now kiss the bride." It was a fantastic exit except for the fact that no one knew where they had run off to. We all figured that we would just go to Chickakoo Lake where the formals were being done and low and behold, there were the happily married couple snuggling together on the dock. The skies looked so dark and menacing while we were doing family photos, but it really only rained for about three minutes before it let up. However, six km down the road back at the church, apparently they had a huge rain storm with hail. How amazingly lucky were this pair to escape that weather and be able to do their photos?!

After we got all the formals done, we headed back to the church for the reception. The meal was cooked and served by the Moshers. It was delicious. The cake was beautifully made and decorate by Nelieke's sister, Lydia Banks.
