Fantastic Wedding At Rundle Park with Jesse and Carl

On Saturday, David and I headed to Jesse and Carl's place to photograph Jesse getting ready. Jesse and her bridesmaids were so much fun and time seemed to fly by. Jesse got her hair and make up done by Acacia Slingerland @acacia_mua) from Vancouver who also happens to be Jesse's brother's girlfriend. Jesse's dress was so pretty and it looked beautiful on her! The flowers were done by Fleurs Flowers in West Edmonton Mall and were succulents - how awesome is that? That is the cute flower shop on Europa Blvd that has those cool backgrounds outside their shop and around the mall. I love going past there because it looks so pretty inside.

We then headed to Rundle park to catch up with Carl and his grooms people. Carl had Jesse's two brothers and his sister stand up for him. Once we got his "getting ready" shots done, it was time for the outdoor ceremony. The ceremony was performed by the talented Dawn Green (www.albertamarriages.com). We loved working with Dawn. She is a photographer's dream marriage commissioner. Not only does she ask for input from us, but she also gives the wedding party tips for the ceremony to help with the photos and she doesn't stand with the bride and the groom in the kissing shot! Thank you so much for a beautiful ceremony and being so wonderful to us!

For the formals, we went around the beautiful Rundle Park which has so many awesome spots to use. The wedding party was up for anything we asked of them and made our job easy for us. They were all fantastic to work with.

The reception was also at Rundle Park in the Family centre. Their cake was done by one of Jesse's talented bridesmaids, Brenna Deines - the cake was amazing and Jesse found the birds and turned them into bridal chickens for the cake topper. Wondering about the chickens? Jesse works in the poultry industry. The meal was a breakfast for supper meal that all the guests were excited about catered by Acapella Catering. It was delicious and I think everyone was stuffed.

Jesse comes from a very musical family and her brother Daniel performed a set with his guitar and then was joined by her other brother, Ben and her Uncle Robin for another set.
