On Sunday afternoon, David and I were off to the Buena Vista Dog park to photograph one of our most favourite families who have become our friends over the past 11 years that we have had the honour to photograph them.  It is hard to believe that their daughters, Danika and Makena are now going into grade six and grade four - as I photographed both of them as newborns and every year since.

It is truly amazing to be able to watch such beautiful and polite girls grow up!  And getting hugs from them after the session is such a huge honour as well.  

Usually Marie and I spend a bit of time brain storming on location ideas, but this year Marie asked if we could do them at the dog park and with it being such a beautiful spot, I was quick to say, "yes!"  David and I got there a few minutes early and were of course oohing and awwwwwing over all the dogs that went past us and then all of a sudden I see this always picture ready beautiful dog come into view and I new that our model had arrived.  Ella is a two year old border collie that they adopted into their family - and boy did Ella hit the jackpot when they did.  Photographing Marie, Dagen, Danika and Makena has always been a pleasure because they are literally a dream to photograph and Ella is the same - she listens so well and she poses so perfectly for the camera.

We had a great time doing one of the loops in the dog park and getting some fun and more posed shots with this fantastic family as well as visiting along the way.
