On Sunday, David and I headed to Katherine and Darren's home to photograph their six day old son, Daxon along with their two daughters, Mila and Estella.  This family is so photogenic and so beautiful!  Katherine and Darren are so easy to work with and to talk to.  Mila and Estella are amazing big sisters who adore their baby brother and were so adorable and well behaved.  Daxon's expressions and his beautiful face will melt your heart.  He is such a sweetheart.

Darren had one request for a photo and that was to have Daxon photographed in his hockey goalie glove.  I was thinking about that shot the night before and the morning of the session and wanted to expand on it a bit, so I asked Darren if we could also use his helmet, and his skates and if he happened to have any mini hockey sticks.  He came through with it all!  Even better, because Katherine is a Winnipeg Jets fan and Darren is an Edmonton Oiler's fan, the hockey sticks happened to be from those teams!  How perfect is that!   

It is always tough when a baby wants to sleep and a photographer is moving them into new positions, changing outfits etc, every few minutes. Daxon was not too pleased with not being able to stay in one spot but we managed to get some sleeping baby shots along with some with his eyes open and some beautiful shots of him with his family and Daxon in his dad's glove!
