Beautiful fall Wedding with Kacie and Scott at St. Albert Grain Elevator Park
On Saturday, David and I were off to Kacie's parent's home to capture Kacie's getting ready shots. Kacie's dress from David's Bridal was absolutely a dress made for a princess. And, she definitely looked like a princess when she put it on. Her daughter, Ryder, had a very similar style for her flower girl dress and they both looked absolutely beautiful. Kacie made all the bouquets along with all the flower arrangements for the tables at the reception and at the ceremony. All the ladies had their hair and make up done by Blush Artistry. They always do such an amazing job! Kara did their makeup while Stephanie did their hair. Kacie's dad had on this totally awesome shirt that said, "Father of the Bride Scan Here for Payment" - we couldn't help ourselves and had to do a photo with the bride and bridesmaids using their phones to "scan" his shirt.
After getting the getting ready photos, we headed to St. Albert Grain Elevator park to meet up with Scott and his groomsmen. They all looked very handsome in their Navy suits from Dirks. Their ceremony was performed by an amazingly talented Marriage Commissioner, Nancy Beirnes. Near the end of the ceremony, the skies decided to let loose with first a drizzle and then a really good rain. Kacie's dad was prepared and handed the entire wedding party clear umbrellas. After seeing some of the shots from the end of the ceremony, we were so impressed at how well not only the bridal party stood out in front of the grain elevator, but how awesome the clear umbrellas looked as well. They say a little rain on your wedding day is good luck and the rain soon quit shortly after the ceremony and umbrellas were put away just in time for family and formal photos.
This was such a fun, albeit slightly x-rated, wedding party. They had us laughing just as much as we had them laughing. And formals seemed to fly by. I was thrilled that yet again there was a tractor to pose the guys on! I honesty love those shots. The grain elevators made for a wonderful backdrop for the wedding photos and we had enough time left to go just down the street to a little walkway with some amazing fall colour to grab a couple shots before heading to Red Willow Park and the Trestle Bridge to grab a few more shots before heading to the reception. We also got a shot of the wedding party inside the party bus they had rented from Last Minute Limos.
The reception was held at Calder Community hall where Scott's parents were long time members and executives. The hall was beautifully decorated with more of Kacie's handiwork and the cake was made by the talented bride and Scott's 13 year old son's girlfriend who helped Kacie ice and decorate it. The lovely meal was catered by D & H Catering. And Equinox Sound provided the music for the dance. Again, the reception proved to be a great time for all.
Thank you so much to Kacie and Scott and their fantastic wedding party and family for allowing us the opportunity to capture this special day. We wish Kacie and Scott a lifetime of happiness.
