On Sunday, David and I were off to the Alberta Legislature Grounds to meet up with Priya and her husband, Neil to photograph their maternity session.  They came prepared with balloons, ultrasound photo, a teddy bear and the letter "E" which represents the first letter in their unborn son's name.   Priya looked absolutely stunning in a flowing lace blue maternity gown.  She is the epitome of a glowing and beautiful mom-to-be.  She also had some fantastic ideas for her maternity photos which she had shared with me prior to the session and which I was only more than eager to do!  It is always awesome when our clients offer input into their photos because sometimes they show us something completely different than we have done in the past.  

We got some fantastic photos with them at the Legislature grounds and then we headed back to the studio to set up for the maternity milk bath photo session she had also requested.  We had never done a maternity milk bath session before, but I did a lot of research into them after she had asked if we could do one for her.  I had heard of doing them in place of a cake smash session for one year olds, but the maternity spin on it was something different for us.  

We supplied the flowers and the milk and Priya came prepared with a gorgeous white lace gown.  I cannot tell you how excited I was once we started the session and I was able to get the photos that I wanted absolutely perfect in camera - again, it helped that Priya is absolutely beautiful.  The white lace, milky bath and the red roses were a stunning combination.  This could easily become one of my favourite type of sessions.
