Elegant, Intimate Wedding with Christine and Lorne at Ruth's Chris
On Saturday, David and I headed down to the Westin Hotel to photograph Christine's getting ready. Christine chose a stunning French Lilac gown with a beautiful white shawl with rhinestone broach. Christine and Lorne decided to be married at Ruth's Chris where they often dine. We photographed their engagement a couple month's back and it is so apparent how much in love these two are. When they look at each other, it is magical. We met up with Lorne, his son, Eric and daughter, Emily as they were heading into Ruth's Chris. We were able to get some family photos prior to the ceremony as well as photographing some of their family members as they arrived. The guest list comprised of both Christine and Lorne's parents, their siblings and their significant others. Lorne's sister made a delicious and beautiful coconut lemon cake that was gluten and I believe dairy free. It was a surprise for Christine.
Christine and Lorne decided to do a First Look in the bar before the ceremony and then walk into the private room together. It was an absolutely beautiful moment to see the expression when Lorne turned and saw Christine standing behind him. Tears continued to flow during the ceremony officiated by the lovely, Julie Tkachuk.
After the ceremony, we took Christine and Lorne to some spots inside the historic building for their formals- if you have never visited Ruth's Chris, it is definitely worth the visit, not just for the amazing food, but also for the history of the building and its architecture. We then went back to the private room and photographed both their families as it had been a very long time for both sides to have photos all together.
After photos came the delicious meal served by the very attentive staff. David declared the steak he had the best steak by far that he has ever had. I would have to agree about my salmon. It was a wonderful meal with some amazing people. Christine's brother in law gave a fantastic speech welcoming Lorne into her family while Emily, Lorne's daughter gave a very emotional and touching speech to welcome Christine bringing Emily, Christine and Lorne to tears.
Christine and Lorne give everyone around them a chance to see the magic of true love. Theirs is a relationship to aspire to and both David and I wish them so much happiness together.
