Fantastic Edmonton Wedding Photography with Matthew and April

On Friday, David and I were off for the first of two weddings we had for this past weekend.  We started at Matthew's parent's home to photograph the details - April's dress, bouquet, etc.  April had her hair and makeup done by Elizabeth from Blushed Beaute.

We then headed over to the Southside Pentecostal Assembly where April and her bridesmaids were going to get into their dresses as well as where the ceremony and reception were held.

The church was absolutely beautiful and they even had the backdrop for the church lighted green which were April and Matthew's wedding colors.  There were also these amazing handmade decorations done by Rowena Brzak.  The flowers were done by Grower Direct.

The ceremony had traditional Filipino aspects to it including the veil, cord, coins and bible as well as a unity candle and a beautiful duet performed by Mr Jayson  and Dinah Abad, April's brother and sister in law.    The ceremony was amazing and performed by Pastor Doug Crouse.

Because of the threat of rain, Matthew and April chose to have their formals done at the Citadel which is also a favourite spot of ours to use when the weather is bad.  The wedding party and parents were brought to the Citadel in the platinum ETS bus.  It was a beautiful looking bus!

After we got some great photos for them, we headed back to the church for the reception.  Matthew and April had their first dance immediately after their entrance, which was so well done.  The only other time we have seen this done was when we shadowed a photographer in New York for a wedding.  It is a very neat way of organizing their evening.  Likewise, they sat in a table for two at a slightly higher level then the bridal party table which also included the parents.  Very nice!

The music for the evening was provided by Acid Mix Productions and instead of catering the meal, they brought in food from Fat Jakks restaurant.  It was so good.

Thank you so much, Matthew and April for giving us the privilege of capturing the moments of your special day!
