On Sunday, David and I had Shylla in our studio with her mom, Samantha and her dad, Nick.  It was Shylla's first birthday!  We started with a family photo of the three of them and then it was all about Shylla.  Shylla was the perfect model.  Not often does a little one put up with outfit changes, but Shylla took it all in stride and had a smile on her face the entire session.  I think she is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen!  We got some amazing shots of her and then it was time for the cake smash part of the session.  Cake smash sessions go either one of two ways.  Either the baby will dig in and love the cake or the baby will not want anything to do with it.  Shylla was such a little lady at the beginning.  She took small little bites and offered to share with everyone.  But then, she dug right in.  We got some adorable shots!  She was such a little sweetheart that I was able to just snap away and enjoy all the wonderful expressions on her face.  After the cake was done, Samantha asked if she could use our sink to clean Shylla up.  We are not used to having a sink where our studio is, so this turned out absolutely perfect and I grabbed a couple shots of Shylla enjoying her bath/clean up as well.  Shylla (and mom and dad too), you are welcome in our studio anytime!  We loved having you and you truly are a perfect model!
