Hawrelak Wedding Photography Session with Jessica and Bryan

On Saturday, I had help from two beautifully talented people who stepped in while David was in the hospital for a few days.  Ernesto Palomino (who you may remember was our groom from last Saturday), is a talented photographer from Columbia and Julie King, a friend who has an amazing eye for detail.  Ernesto kindly agreed to be my second shooter for the day and boy, does he ever have a creative eye!  Julie made everyone in the wedding party look picture perfect from getting ready through formals.  She was adjusting ties, fixing suit jackets, perfecting the train in every photo and giving the bride a blanket in between shots to warm up.  Thank you to both of you for doing such an amazing job!!!!

Saturday was not the warm August summer day it should have been.  It was quite chilly actually.  So, bravo to Jessica, Bryan and their wedding party for doing such an amazing job in smiling through the cold.

We started with the getting ready shots in a penthouse suite at the Coast Plaza hotel.  The suite was beautiful and made a fantastic backdrop for the getting ready shots!  Jessica's dress was absolutely beautiful and she was breath taking when she put it on!  The dress was definitely made for her!

Jessica and Bryan got married at an outdoor ceremony in Hawrelak park.  This has to be one of my favourite parks in Edmonton.  There isn't a bad spot in the park for taking photos.  Saturday was a very busy day in the park due to a rock concert that was also happening there, but because of the size of the park, we got some amazing photos for them.  Bryan's daughter, Brody was the flower girl and she looked so pretty in her beautiful pink dress!  Their ring bearer was Bryan's nephew, Carter, who was absolutely adorable in his little tux!

After photos, Bryan and Jessica went back to the hotel with their wedding party for some well deserved down time before their reception which was held on the Edmonton River Queen.  We have done a few weddings now on the River Queen and the staff there is very attentive.  The food is always delicious and this time was no exception.  Jessica and Bryan's wedding cake was beautiful and elegant.  It was made by Over The Top Cakes in St. Albert.  This cake was so delicious!  It was by far one of the best tasting wedding cakes we have tasted.  I would highly recommend them to any bride and groom looking for a place to supply their wedding cake.

It was a beautiful, emotional, sometimes tear-filled reception with laughs from Bryan's Aunt who was the MC!  She told such funny jokes and did a fantastic job!

Thank you, Jessica and Bryan for allowing Ernesto, Julie and I to take part in and capture your special day for you!
