In 1988, Candice married her high school sweetheart. They soon bought a house in West Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1992 with a degree in Education - majoring in Business Education and minoring in English.
In 1994, they had their first child, a son- Cameron. Candice decided at that point to become a stay at home mom. Other children soon followed. In 1996, another son - Mason; 1997; their third son - Riley; and finally in 2001, a girl - Grace. Taking pictures of their children allowed Candice to rediscover her love of photography and now that the children are older, Candice is thrilled to be able to have a career doing what she loves.
On the fun side, Candice loves camping in the mountains, going for walks with her children, and bike riding. She is a vegetarian and has a weakness for Starbucks Frappuccinos and kittens (much to her husband's dismay). She also loves dragonflies (check out her dragonfly image in her portfolio).
Candice believes that all photo sessions should be enjoyable and never rushed. She takes the time to get to know her clients and what they want from their session. She loves getting down on the same level with all the children she photographs. Her love of children shows through as she shows utmost patience for even the most active two year old. Candice's favourite part of photography is capturing the emotions of the people involved.
